Audio exciter with extensive control
Beyond its core audio exciter, the plugin includes pre-emphasis and de-emphasis filters, a soft clipper, and a hysteresis module. Specifically, the pre-emphasis and de-emphasis filters allow users to apply equalization before and after the harmonic exciter and clipper processing, offering significant flexibility in sound shaping. I wish I had met him before, it would save me a lot to be able to decipher what I need from an audio because with it I can create body and excite without so much goatee… it's excellent and it doesn't come out of my daily work template… it goes from first in the chain!
Used Harmonics Pro on a fretless bass track… OMG, how easily it transformed the track into a richer, more gorgeous sounding track.. Have to try it next on fretted bass tracks, but this plugin will be a staple on my bass tracks, it is so good..
Amazing six star assesment!!! It can add from a little bit warmth to total overdriven, that a bass synth begins to cry hard,
So maybe the description is a little bit confusing in product description but at the point from manual.. `"HoRNet Harmonics Pro is an exciter, saturation and clipper processor" …a.bit transient shaper (resonance filter)
So i played with it for drum shaping, in a chain of HA2A, XTRESSOR NUKE, Harmonics Pro, Hornet Tape US30 and it transforms the sound, that I got this mother…ing bass in my face, what i really liked at the turn of the millennium
I quiet used expensive harware for colouring what will give you a little more precise balance maybe, but HarmonicsPro has this input and wet dial what can compensate this in most terms for tracking.
At all try pre emphasis and demphasis EQ in opposite directions and you can switch the kick from original DJ Rush overdriven, to tight sounding Dj Hell kicks. So maybe this explanation is difficult to understand for more instrumental based musiciancs, but i want demonstrate its potential in sound mangeling.
I can only compare it with discontinued FXpansions Etch Red in Propellerhead Reason, what is still awfull complicated in comparison with HarmonicsPro. If you drive the several band controls by a cv generator, or only add a single lfo to control the M dial and you will get this oscilating background brizzl sound of Ellen Aliens Dataromance TokTok remix.
Nice work, a absolute must have for experimental drum shaping and extreme saturation/crunch.. Just now I still have written, please give us a multiband resonance filter, but similar has already been programmed for a long time 🙂
This is a very handy plugin, You can get a lot of warmth and tone from it. For the price its a no brainer.. Good sound manipulation.
