In addition to the EQ, ChannelStrip MK3 includes two dynamics processors, providing complete control over compression and expansion. Each dynamics module features four distinct compression models, each emulating a specific analog characteristic:
VCA Compression: Modeled after standard console compressors, this feed-forward solid-state compressor offers solid, versatile compression for a variety of uses.
FET Compression: Inspired by fast vintage FET units, this feedback compressor is capable of very aggressive compression, making it ideal for tightening up tracks with fast transients.
OPTO Compression: Modeled after a renowned tube limiter, this feed-forward compressor offers a smooth, transparent compression that works well on vocals, guitars, and more.
Expander: A traditional gate/expander based on a VCA design, ideal for cleaning up tracks by reducing low-level noise or adding dynamic movement to a performance.
The latest 3.1.5 version of ChannelStrip MK3 is a maintenance release, with several key fixes and improvements:
Fixed knobs not responding in Ableton Live when using the VST3 version.
Improved VST3 performance, making the plugin more efficient and stable.
Removed 32-bit support to streamline the plugin and ensure better performance in modern DAWs.
