We’ve just released an update for the H4K Bus Compressor that addresses user feedback and improves stability across the board.
Version 1.0.1 focuses on refinement and reliability, with improvements that make your workflow smoother and more predictable.
What Changed:
We’ve completely revised how the Auto Trim Gain feature responds to gain changes. The transitions are now significantly smoother, eliminating the abrupt jumps some users experienced.
The Issue:
Some macOS users reported a white screen appearing when opening the plugin interface, particularly on certain DAWs and display configurations.
The Fix:
We’ve resolved the rendering issue that caused this problem. The interface now loads correctly every time on all tested macOS versions (10.13+) and DAWs.
The Issue:
Previously, when bypassing the plugin, the makeup gain remained active even though compression was disabled. This could cause unexpected level changes.
The Fix:
Bypass now correctly disables all processing, including makeup gain. When you bypass H4K, you get truly unprocessed audio at the original level.

• Accurate A/B comparison (bypass = original signal)
• No level matching needed when checking your compression
• Predictable behavior matches industry standard expectations
