Introduction

What is ZeroLoud

HoRNet ZeroLoud is an intelligent maximizer designed to bring your tracks to the desired loudness level completely automatically. Forget the complexity of thresholds, ratios, and makeup gain: ZeroLoud listens to your music, analyzes the dynamics, and sets everything for you.

The result is a master (or a bus) that sounds loud and clear, exactly at the target LUFS level you chose, preserving punch and transparency.

Workflow

ZeroLoud operates through a guided 4-step process to ensure perfect results.

1

Learning

As soon as inserted, the plugin starts listening. Play the loudest part of your track (e.g., the final chorus) for about 10 seconds. The system will record the audio for analysis.

2

Target Selection

Once audio is captured, you will be asked to set the Target Loudness in LUFS. Use the + and - buttons or enter the numeric value (e.g., -14 for streaming, -9 for CD/Club).

3

Analysis

ZeroLoud processes the recorded audio "offline" (in the background) to find the perfect combination of gain and limiting. You will see the progress of Gain and Limiter optimization.

4

Application

When analysis is complete, press APPLY (or CONTINUE) to confirm. The plugin is now active and processing audio in real-time with the calculated parameters.

Main Controls

TRIM

Allows you to adjust the input level after analysis if you want to make fine adjustments (+/- 6 dB). Useful if you want to push a bit more or relax the limiter without re-analyzing.

CEILING

Sets the maximum output level (True Peak). Default is -0.1 dB to avoid inter-sample clipping, but you can go down to -1.0 dB for streaming (e.g., Spotify/Apple Music).

Meters (LUFS)

Three views to monitor loudness:

  • MOM (Momentary): Instant loudness (400ms).
  • SHORT (Short-term): Short-term loudness (3s).
  • INT (Integrated): Average loudness from playback start or last reset.

Use the RESET METER button to clear the Integrated LUFS calculation.

Reset & Bypass

  • RESET: Restarts the entire learning process (back to step 1).
  • BYPASS: Disables the effect for A/B comparison.

FAQ

How do I choose the right target?
For streaming platforms (Spotify, YouTube), a value of -14 LUFS is standard. For CD or club music, you can push towards -9 or -8 LUFS.
Can I change the target after analysis?
Yes, press RESET and repeat the process choosing a new target, or use the TRIM control to adjust gain manually.
